Japanese food usually includes Rice, Meat and Vegies. The picture above is of Shabu Shabu, which is essentially thinly sliced meat with mushrooms, vegetables, tofu, seafood and real noodles. To the left, you see dumplings, which are made of dough. They're based on flour, potatoes or bread and may include meat, fish, vegetables or sweets. They may be cooked by steaming, boiling, simmering, frying or baking.
